Introducing the Optical Battery Sorter

Using advanced object recognition technology the Optical Battery Sorter identifies waste portable batteries from D-size to button cells. The batteries are sorted into fractions based on its different compounds such as alkaline, Ni-MH, Ni-Cd and Lithium. By identifying every single object the system knows which label, size and type of each and every battery that have been sorted. This information helps recyclers and manufactures to improve their business as well as it makes reporting to authorities much more efficient.
